Looking for fossils Hurupi Stream, near Cape Palliser. Found Cucullaea hamptoni & struthiolaria callosa I think #nzfossils #fossils. I’d like to give a shoutout to “The Kiwi Fossil Hunter’s Handbook”.
Fossils here are assigned to the Tongaporutuan stage of the Miocene Epoch. They are about 11 to 7 million years old.
